Sony to release HD DVR for PS3 Playstation 3 news
Sony has just unveiled a great hardware add on with software to utilize the 60-80gb hard drives the ps3 comes with. A new HD DVR add on, called Sky plus turns your Playstation 3 into a fully functional DVR for terrestrial over the air HDTV content. Users will be able to record and pause live HDTV broadcasts using their Playstation 3 game system. The recorded programs can also be wirelesly viewed via WIFI with the PSP game system. Sony has also announced a relation with BT, with a program called GO messenger which will allow PSP users to make phone calls and send texts. Go messenger is expected to be released in January, while The PS3 HD DVR setup will start in Europe sometime early next year.
