DTV tuner box coupons ready for application With the analog TV shutdown coming in a little over a year, The United States government has authorized a coupon program for analog TV owners offering $40 dollars off new digital tuner boxes. The requests for these coupons start immediately and the first batch will be mailing out on February 17th, exactly 1 year before the analog TV shutdown occurs. These coupons are limited to two per household and are only valid on SDTV tuners, meaning that you can not use them towards any tuner that has a high definition output on them. This can be a bummer for early HDTV adopters that need those tuners in order to take advantage the new HD signals offered by DTV stations. More information about the analog TV shutdown can be found at The United States Government official DTV transition site and you can find the coupon information in more detail at the Official government DTV converter box coupon application website.
